Subdivided Unit Design and Renovation Services

To obtain government certification, subdivided units must meet the government's minimum requirements and standards for such units. Design House HK offers improvement services for subdivided units that do not currently meet these standards. After an initial on-site inspection, we will provide the owner or operator with a subdivided unit improvement report, which will identify non-compliant items and areas requiring improvement, along with a quotation.

First Inspection Fee: HKD$800

Subdivided Unit Certification Report

Fee: HKD20,000 / per subdivided unit

If the unit has already undergone rectification and optimization works in accordance with the requirements for subdivided units, Design House HK can also arrange for government-designated professionals to certify the owner's or operator's subdivided unit and submit a certification report. The fee is based on the number of subdivided units. The submitted report includes:

- Report by a government-designated professional for subdivided unit certification
- Structural assessment report by a government-designated professional for subdivided unit certification
- Ventilation report for mechanical ventilation facilities by a government-designated professional for subdivided unit certification

Note: Before the designated professional visits for subdivided unit certification, the owner or operator must ensure that the unit meets the government's minimum standards for subdivided units. If any non-compliant or non-conforming areas are found during certification, the report will record them truthfully. The owner or operator will still be required to pay the certification fee for that visit. If re-certification is required after completing improvement works, the owner or operator will need to pay the certification fee again.
